I’m honored to share that I had two paintings accepted in the Dark Art All Media Show at Art Works Gallery in Richmond, Virginia. My paintings in the show include: “The Clowder Witch” painting which won first prize, and “The Veil Between” which sold and will soon be heading to a great new home.
Opening night was on the Friday before Halloween, and it was a perfect theme for the season. The show was jurored by Chris Semtner, artist, author, and curator of the Poe Museum. He also exhibited his own work in his Phantasmagoria show which opened on the same night.
I’m so happy to have been a part of this show, with other artists exhibiting their own dark art. Many thanks to everyone who made it possible and who came out to enjoy it!
Paintings include: “Mr. Scrapefoot Fox”, acrylic on canvas panel, 20″x16″; “They Called Her Moonflower”, acrylic on stretched canvas, 30″x24″; and “Where the Soul Lies”, acrylic on stretched canvas, 36″x24″
All paintings are inspired by my love of nature and dark themes, often taking form as and inspiration from fairy tales, myths, and related dream-like imaginings. Thanks for taking a look!
Two of my paintings will be in the ArtWorks April 2021 Big All Media Art Show in the main gallery: “Socially Distant” (left; honorable mention), and “Sparrows of Venus” (right). Opening reception April 23rd, 6pm–8pm. All original artworks will be available for purchase.
I’m currently working on setting up an online shop for featuring reproduction prints of my work. In addition to art prints, there will also be select lifestyle products with images of my artwork, including pillows, totes, and mugs. More to come!
