Sherrie grew up in rural Virginia where she began drawing and writing as a way to express her feelings and exercise her imagination. Focusing on the visual, she studied at Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting & Printmaking with a minor in Art History. She later pursued graduate studies in Drawing & Painting at the University of Georgia before moving on to explore digital media on her own. From there she started working in graphic design, while continuing her interests in the fine arts. She now continues her creative explorations, based out of Richmond.

Some of the artists who inspire me include: Gregory Barsamian, Stefan Zsaitsits, Kahn & Selesnick, Marian Bantjes, Edward Gorey, The Grey Ones (art performance group), local artists from my RVA community and many more…
